HAPPENING NOW

Reopening of English Service

English Service will reopen on August 9. In response to the announcement of re-opening places of worship up to 30% capacity, CLBC is now open to accommodate up to 50 congregants to join worship service in person during this period. At the same time, we will continue to provide online services via Zoom links: https://lnk.bio/GGI4

Since the health and safety of brothers and sisters remains our top priority, the re-opening process will proceed slowly and cautiously. We encourage everyone to carefully consider their own circumstance in order to make the decision to attend online or in-person service.

Those who plan to attend service in person will be required to sign up using the “Pre-Screen for English Service Form” by 9am every Friday OR call church @ 416-297-8787 and leave a message to be called back for pre-screening. Anyone who does not pass the screening process will not be allowed to attend service in person.

Details can be found here: CLBC Reopening Plan Protocol July 31 2020 English

Children Sunday School, Teens Sunday School and Community Groups will remain online via Zoom links here: https://lnk.bio/GGI4.

Offering Update

Our church has made arrangements for those who would like to drop off their offering at the following times:

Every Sunday (starting in July)
10am – 10:30am
12:45pm – 1:30pm

When Chinese service is in progress in the chapel, please do not enter. While in the church building, we require that everyone wear a face mask, maintain 6 feet physical distance, and follow Public Health guidelines.

Drive-In Contactless Food Drive

On Saturday, August 29 from 9am to 3pm, our church will host a Drive-In Contactless Food Drive in partnership with Agincourt Community Services Association. Details can be found below:

There is a much greater need for food donations during the pandemic. This food drive will be contactless as volunteers will unload the donations straight from donors’ trunks as cars enter our church parking lot.

We are asking for small groups across church to sign up to help distribute flyers to residences near our church in the upcoming weeks. For details or to sign up, please contact Ken Ng.

Help from Markham Community Group

Markham Community Group would like to extend help to those who are not able to get groceries and daily essentials during this time in the face of COVID-19. If you know of anyone who has any needs or you yourself have any needs, please email Edith.
