Communion Cups and Bread 

Church has prepared individually wrapped Communion Cups and Bread for those who are baptized. Brothers and sisters, please come pick these up at the parking lot entrance during Sunday service or on Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (one bag has 5 packages inside for each person who has been baptized).

While in the church building, we require that everyone wear a face mask, maintain 6 feet physical distance, and follow Public Health guidelines.

Reopening for Curbside Offering 

Since the stay-at-home order in Ontario has expired, CLBC has reopened for Curbside Offering. Please drop off offering at the following times:

Every Sunday from 12:45 PM to 1:30 PM
Every Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

When Chinese service is in progress in the chapel, please do not enter. While in the church building, we require that everyone wear a face mask, maintain 6 feet physical distance, and follow Public Health guidelines.

E-Offering is Here!

Due to the ongoing pandemic and stay-at-home orders for various parts of the GTA, our church will temporarily accept electronic offering via Interac e-Transfer. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to give your offering to the church using this method. Vaccination Appointment Booking & Assistance

Brothers and sisters within our church have generously offered their time to help seniors with registering for and/or providing rides to vaccination appointments. If you know any seniors who would like to get vaccinated and require assistance, please email and we will be in touch with you.

Prayer Meeting Update

Starting in March, our Wednesday night prayer meetings will be moved to the first and third Sunday of each month.

– 1st Sunday of the month: Joint prayer meeting with the Chinese congregation at 12:50 PM

– 3rd Sunday of the month: English congregation prayer meeting at 10:30 AM (replacing the post-service chat for that week)

Reopening of English Service

According to the new public health guidelines for the City of Toronto, places of worship are allowed to accommodate up to 15% capacity for religious services. Starting on June 13, CLBC is open to accommodate up to 30 congregants to join worship service in person.

We encourage everyone to carefully consider their own circumstance in order to make the decision to attend online or in-person service.  Those who plan to attend service in person will be required to sign up using the “Pre-Screen for English Service Form” by 9 am every Saturday or to call church @ 416-297-8787 and leave a message to be called back for pre-screening. Anyone who does not pass the screening process will not be allowed to attend service in person.

Annual General Meeting

Annual General Meeting will be held on June 27 at 12:30 PM. Members will vote on the following items:

a. Approval of the appointment of C.C.L. Chartered Professional Accountants, Professional Corporation as our 2021 auditor
b. Approval of deferring 2022 budget approval to October 24, 2021
c. Approval of deferring 2020 financial statements and accountant report approval to August 22, 2021

Members, please reserve your time to attend.

Members who have registered for electronic voting will receive voting slips via email by Monday, June 21.  Please submit your ballots by 9 AM on Saturday, June 26, 2021.

Canada Day Contactless Food Drive 

A contactless food drive will be held at CLBC on Canada Day from 9 AM to 3 PM. We need 4 volunteers: 2 persons from 9 AM to 12 PM and 2 persons from 12 PM to 3 PM.  For those who are interested, please email Ken Ng. More details will be provided next week.

Registration for Virtual VBS 2021 

This is a 2-hour Online Camp organized by Calvary Logos Baptist Church for those who are attending Grade 1 to Grade 7 at the time of registration. We are using an online platform called Zoom – Professional version. Our VBS program receives financial assistance from the government’s Canada Summer Jobs program.

Dates:     Tuesday August 3 – Friday August 13, 2021 (9 days in total)
Time:     10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Theme:  “Treasured – Discovering You’re Priceless to God”
Activities:   Songs, Bible Stories, Arts & Crafts, Science, and Physical Exercise
Camp Costs:   FREE (plus Materials fee)
Materials Fee for Crafts: To Be Determined (less than $20)
