Reopening of Sunday Service and Programs

In response to Ontario’s reopening plan to ease COVID-19 restrictions in the province, CLBC is open to the congregation for in-person Sunday worship service and programs while encouraging social distancing and other measures. In-person CSS, Crossings and Teens Sunday School resumed on March 6. Online participation remains available.
We encourage everyone to carefully consider their own circumstance in order to make the decision to attend online or in-person service. Every individual who plans to attend services or other programs in person will be required to self pre-screen for COVID-19 via google form:

*CLBC’s Covid-19 Protocol has been updated effective November 11, 2022. Masks are strongly recommended inside the church building with the exception that masks are MANDATORY during events/services inside the chapel. Please let us know if you need us to provide a mask.

Reopening for Curbside Offering

Since the stay-at-home order in Ontario has expired, CLBC has reopened for Curbside Offering. Please drop off offering at the following times:

Every Sunday from 12:45 PM to 1:30 PM
Every Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

When Chinese service is in progress in the chapel, please do not enter.

Due to the ongoing pandemic and stay-at-home orders for various parts of the GTA, our church will temporarily accept electronic offering via Interac e-Transfer. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to give your offering to the church using this method. Members Meeting

Members Meeting will be held on January 22 at 12:30pm both in person and on Zoom. During the meeting, updates will be presented for the pastoral search committee, council roles, and the status of the pastoral search. Members, please reserve your time to attend.

2022 Expenses Reimbursement

Please submit all 2022 Requests for Disbursement on or before January 31, 2023.

Short Term Mission Trip Support Request

Andy Chan will be joining a short term mission trip hosted by Compassion Canada to the Dominican Republic from February 4 to 10, 2023. The main target of the visit will be families with infants and children below the poverty line. Brothers and sisters can participate by providing the following:

1. Donations, including stationery, summer clothing for babies, and old luggage that can be used to carry donated items to the Dominican Republic. Please drop off donations in the upper room by January 29.
2. Cash offering for costs involved in carrying the gift items. Please specify that the offering is for “Dominican Republic” or “DR” on the offering envelope.
3. Prayer support.

Pastoral Search Committee Update

Pastoral Search Committee continues to meet on a monthly basis to evaluate the qualifications and fit with what we are looking for in potential candidates. Please continue to keep this process in your prayers.

Prayer Meeting Update

On the third Sunday of each month, an in-person English congregation prayer meeting will take place at 11:00 AM in the basement as an extension to English Service.
