HAPPENING NOW

Suspension of Curbside Offering

The Government of Ontario has issued a stay-at-home order beginning on April 8, 2021 for a period of 28 days. In light of the new travel restrictions, curbside offering will be suspended until the end of the state of emergency to avoid non-essential travel.

E-Offering is Here!

Due to the ongoing pandemic and stay-at-home orders for various parts of the GTA, our church will temporarily accept electronic offering via Interac e-Transfer. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to give your offering to the church using this method. Our church donation email address is Offering@Calvarylogos.ca. Please note that this email address ends in .ca.

If you have any questions, or need help with finding or setting up an offering number as a first-time donor, please email Council@Calvarylogos.ca.

Vaccination Appointment Booking & Assistance

Starting on March 15 (March 1 for York Region), the Ontario government will allow seniors to book COVID-19 vaccination appointments. Brothers and sisters within our church have generously offered their time to help seniors with registering for and/or providing rides to vaccination appointments. If you know any seniors who would like to get vaccinated and require assistance, please email EMC@calvarylogos.ca and we will be in touch with you.

Prayer Meeting Update

Starting in March, our Wednesday night prayer meetings will be moved to the first and third Sunday of each month.

– 1st Sunday of the month: Joint prayer meeting with the Chinese congregation at 12:50 PM

– 3rd Sunday of the month: English congregation prayer meeting at 10:30 AM (replacing the post-service chat for that week)

Reopening of English Service

According to the new public health guidelines for the City of Toronto, places of worship are allowed to accommodate up to 15% capacity for religious services. Starting on March 21, CLBC is open to accommodate up to 30 congregants to join worship service in person.

We encourage everyone to carefully consider their own circumstance in order to make the decision to attend online or in-person service.  Those who plan to attend service in person will be required to sign up using the “Pre-Screen for English Service Form” by 9 am every Saturday or to call church @ 416-297-8787 and leave a message to be called back for pre-screening. Anyone who does not pass the screening process will not be allowed to attend service in person.

Details can be found here: CLBC Reopening Plan Protocol March 16 2021-English
