Resignation of Rev. David Au

We thank God for the eight years Rev. David Au has served as the English Lead Pastor, diligently and faithfully leading our English congregation. Through prayer, God has led him to a new direction in ministry. Rev. Au has resigned from his role at CLBC, and his last day will be March 8, 2020. Please keep Rev. Au, his wife Joanne, and his children Shanade and Sidney in your prayers as they transition to a new ministry.

2019 Offering Records

Offering records for 2019 have been posted on the bulletin board outside of the kitchen. The records will be used to prepare donation receipts for 2019. Please verify that your name and offering amount are correct. If you have any questions, please contact one of our offering team leaders (David Leung, Kenneth Ng, or Patrick Leung) right after Chinese Service on February 16.

Emergency Relief: Appeal for funds in response to Coronavirus crisis

Due to the current novel coronavirus outbreak, many cities in China are in danger of food and medical supply shortages. CLBC will be collecting financial donations for Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) and its local partners to support the crisis response in China. Donations will help provide food and assistance to marginalized families at risk. If you would like to respond to this appeal, please designate donations to “Emergency Relief –  China Coronavirus Relief Response” on your offering envelope. Thank you for your support.

Members Meeting

Members Meeting will be held on February 23 at 12:30pm. Members will vote on Karen Leung’s seminary study subsidy application for 2020. Please reserve your time to attend.

Baptism Class

VBS Registration

Our school permit application for VBS 2020 has been submitted. If approved, VBS 2020 will take place from July 6 to 17, 2020 at Fred Varley Public School. Registration will begin on February 23, 2020 for campers from JK to Grade 7 at the time of registration. Please stay tuned for updates.
