I wanted to talk about one thing Jesus said. He once told his disciples – those who followed him – that they will do even greater things than what he did. [John 14:12]
Crazy thought, huh? I mean, aren’t we told that Jesus is the model, the ultimate example of what someone who’s fully human and fully God would look like? Aren’t taught to strive to be more like Christ in all the ways he cared, loved, led, and put others’ interest before his own?
Yes.
But here is what he is also tell us: that what he has done enables us to doing greater things than he did. That he rescued us, yes. That he is to be our goal to strive towards, yes.
But now get this, he launches us in to good works. His love pushes us to take it to the next level.
Now, go. Go live out the Good News.
